Current Position:

I will be starting my second year with the Huntsville School District Migrant Education Program, where I serve as the district director, clerk, and tutor for students in grades PK-12. I have served as a 6th grade teacher for math and literacy; for 9 years I was the Literacy Instructional Specialist at St. Paul for grades k-12, and I taught 5th grade math and literacy. I have proudly served the district for the last 21 years and is my 32nd year of being in education.

Family Information:

I am happy to say that both of my children are graduates of the Huntsville School District. While here, both children participated in the Huntsville Athletic Program in the areas of Football and Basketball. My children have three younger fur siblings: Lucky, Marley, and Bella. Also, in 2019, I will have been married for 30 years...WOW, that is a long time!!

Christian graduated Cum Laude from Lyon College in May 2019. He will soon join the military world as a proud member of the United States Navy.

In November, I will be a Memaw for the first time. I am looking forward to this little bundle of joy to enter this world.

Personal Information:

So, just a little about me. I love to craft. I paint wooden signs, paint on canvas, and do some hand embroidering. I enjoy trying to come up with something new and experimenting with colors to make items have a distressed look. Sometimes my eyes light up when I see an old door, or an old piece of wood and imagine the possibilities. Also, I have taught myself how to make my own floral arrangements to display around the house. I get the greatest joy out of creating for other people to give as a gift.
