5th Grade Literacy
I graduated from UAFS, in 2005, with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
In 2008, I graduated from Walden University with a master’s degree in Reading Instruction.
I also attended Arkansas Tech University to obtain a Gifted and Talented endorsement in 2009 and an ESL endorsement in 2011.
Lastly, in 2018 I graduate from Walden University, again, this time with an EdS degree in Curriculum, Instruction, Professional Development.

I have been an Eagle since 2016, where I have taught both 4th and 5th grade literacy.
Prior to teaching in the Huntsville School District, I taught second grade for two years and gifted and talented for three within the Mulberry/Pleasant View Bi-County School District.
I have also taught with the Elkins School District for six years, where my duties included coordinating and teaching the GT and ESL programs.
I am married to my best friend Dave, and together we have 3 beautiful children, 1 daughter and 2 sons.
My daughter, Nickole, is a student at U of A.
My oldest son, Cody, is a student at JBU
My youngest son, Luke, is at student at Huntsville Intermediate.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to travel, explore National Parks, and hike.
Another hobby I have is, of course, reading! I absolutely love reading! My favorite authors include R.L.Stine, Michael Grant, April Henry, Joelle Charbonneau, and Lisa McMann.
